In the case of Crestron, they use proprietary programming, components, and touch screens that that only apply to Crestron systems, so if somthing breaks you have no choice but to contact Crestron for support. Additionally, many of these products are bulky and overpriced. Be prepared to invest for a life time in the traditional analog control company you select.
